The Greenbelt Nature Center, located at the intersection of Brielle and Rockland avenues, is FREE and open to all It offers access to the hiking trail system, and a variety of programs and educational opportunities - including the state-of-the-art Richmond County Savings Foundation Exhibits.  The center is closed on major holidays and on Easter.

Hours of Operation
April through October: Tuesday through  Sunday, 10 am - 5 pm
November through March: Wednesday through Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm.

The center is a hub for Greenbelt activities and programs. Visitors can obtain a trail map and access the Greenbelt's trail system, sign up for programs and activities, speak with a Greenbelt representative, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful wooded grounds.

The 5,000-square-foot stone and wood structure has a low, earth-hugging design, and is intended to blend in with its natural surroundings. The interior contains a meeting room and  reception and exhibition spaces which will host activities for people of all ages and abilities. 

Medhat Salam Associates, Architects and Planners, designed the new Greenbelt Nature Center. The offices of the Mayor and the Staten Island Borough President have provided capital funding for construction of the new facility.
